CHERUB COFFEE
Gesha
Gesha
ORGANIC
Gesha is one of the rarest and most celebrated varieties in the world of specialty coffee. Originally traced to the Gesha village in Ethiopia, it gained international fame after sweeping the 2004 Best of Panama competition — and has commanded the attention of baristas, judges, and serious coffee drinkers ever since.
Grown in Colombia's high-altitude regions, Cherub Coffee's Gesha develops the exceptional clarity and aromatic intensity this variety is known for. The cool mountain air and rich Colombian soil slow the cherry's maturation, concentrating the flavors into something genuinely unlike any other coffee you will try.
REGION: Anolaima, Cundinamarca - Colombia
ROAST: Light to Medium
VARIETAL: Colombia & Castillo
ELEVATION: 1.657 M.S.N.M.
PROCESS: Washed
FLAVOR PROFILE: Jasmine, Cocoa, Stone Fruit
WEIGHT: 250G - Whole Bean
Our Preferred Brewing Method: Chemex or Pour Over — the open, slow extraction lets the jasmine and peach aromas fully bloom in the cup
This is the coffee that baristas enter into competitions. It is the coffee that makes experienced drinkers stop mid-sip. If you have never tried a Gesha, this is the one to start with.
